Executive Director, MassDOT Megaprojects Delivery Office

As the inaugural head of the Megaprojects Delivery Office, Luisa Paiewonsky leads the strategic execution of Massachusetts’ most complex infrastructure initiatives, including the $4.5 billion Cape Cod Bridges replacement and the $2 billion Allston Multimodal Transportation Project. During her remarks at the first annual ASHE New England Scholarship & Awards Gala, Luisa will share expert insights on maintaining organizational agility amid shifting funding landscapes and offer strategies for sustaining momentum on generational projects. 
Bio: Luisa Paiewonsky is Executive Director of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Megaprojects Delivery Office, where she oversees the delivery of the $4.5 billion Cape Cod Bridges Project and the $2 billion Allston Multimodal Transportation Project. She rejoined MassDOT in December 2024 after 13 years as Director of Infrastructure Systems and Technology at the US DOT’s Volpe Center in Cambridge. Prior to joining Volpe Center, she spent 22 years at MassDOT, including six years as Highway Administrator and Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department. She is the former President of WTS-Boston, is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and holds a master’s degree in city planning from Boston University.

  • Meal selections and any dietary restrictions - Only chicken and ravioli available now. While we will do our best to accommodate preferences, meal selections cannot be guaranteed at this point.

At this stage, payment can only be completed by check. An invoice will be emailed to the contact person listed. 

Evening Schedule (Estimated): Join us for networking at 5:00 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM, and the Awards Ceremony from 7:00–8:00 PM.

Celebrating Transportation Leaders in the following categories: Award winners will be announced soon!

  • Person of the Year Award: 
    • This award is given to an individual who has made notable and significant contributions to the transportation industry. The contributions should have a statewide or broader impact and involve paid and personal time and efforts, and participation in transportation-related societies or organizations. The recipient need not be a member of ASHE. 
  • Young Member of the Year Award:
    • This award has been established to recognize young ASHE members who have made outstanding contributions to ASHE, the highway/transportation industry, and their communities during the early years of their careers. 
  • Member of the Year Award:
    •  This award is given to a member who has made notable achievements with ASHE within the past year, who has had a significant positive impact on ASHE, and who has earned a high level of respect with his or her peers.  
  • Lifetime Achievement Award:
    •  This award was established to recognize an ASHE member who has supported the organization in an exemplary manner throughout his or her career. The individual should have had a long-term positive impact on the Society. 

Every sponsorship contribution made to ASHE NE directly supports event costs and helps keep ticket prices accessible for all attendees; 
please submit sponsorship registrations by February 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM (TODAY!).

Individual Registration: Please submit your meal selection by February 9 at 5:00 PM (Registration portal CLOSED, email regitration still available with limited seats).

Meal choices submitted after this time cannot be guaranteed, and individual registrations will receive Butternut Squash Ravioli (V) by default.

Table Registration: Each table registration indludes 9 attendees!

Tables will receive the Misty Knolls Chicken entrée by default unless alternative choices are submitted. 

Please include a note if any guest has a special dietary restriction or requires a different entrée selection.

If you still need time to confirm your attendees and their meal selections but would like to proceed with registration for billing purposes,

you may register by selecting the “Undecided” option.
